Who is Mathew?

Mathew Knowles is a veteran figure in the music industry with a diverse career that spans management, entrepreneurship, and education.

He is an American record executive, talent manager, and businessman, best known for his role as the manager of the Grammy-winning girl group Destiny's Child, which included his daughter Beyoncé. Born on January 9, 1952, in Gadsden, Alabama, Knowles played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of Destiny's Child members, including Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.

In addition to managing Destiny's Child, Mathew Knowles has been involved in various aspects of the music industry. He co-founded Music World Entertainment, a music and entertainment company, and has worked with other artists and projects. Knowles is also an author and educator, having written books on the music industry and lectured on entertainment management. He has also served as an educator, teaching courses on the entertainment industry. Notably, he was a visiting professor at Texas Southern University.

He is the father of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, both highly successful in the music industry.
