Youth Form - Youth Speaks

We often hear conversations about our youth. Most of the conversations are held within a meeting with very few youth in attendance. This particular forum is designed to allow the youth to have a SEAT AT THE TABLE and personally engage with the powers to be. We believe that this youth forum is necessary because our youth often receive 3rd party information and we understand that it is crucial to provide the youth with a platform where they can actively participate and have direct interactions with decision-makers.

This forum aims to bridge the gap between the youth and the powers that be, enabling them to ask meaningful and valuable questions that directly impact their quality of life. It's an essential step towards empowering the youth and ensuring their voices are heard as they evolve to become the table!

By creating this dedicated forum, we are providing the youth with a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and gain a comprehensive understanding of the functions and roles of city leaders. This knowledge will have a direct impact on their present and future. It's a powerful platform for the youth to become well-informed about how our city operates and the different entities that contribute to its functioning.

Moreover, through this dialogue, the youth will also discover their own role and responsibility in collaborating with city leaders to enhance their quality of life. This is especially true when it pertains to their quality of life.

This will be an in depth forum with over 300 youth from various boroughs and schools throughout the 5-boroughs for the sole purpose of engaging in a meaningful and purposeful dialogue with key individuals who have the authority and are appointed to navigate various responsibilities to ensure our youths’ growth, development and safety. These City Leaders will have the opportunity to have an impact on the youth throughout New York City during this forum to ensure that they have the proper understanding and information that will lead to a more productive future.

The commissioners that have been chosen to participate in this youth forum, directly impact the social, emotional, educational and safety of each and every one of our youth.
